At Faith Community we are committed to support the spreading of the Gospel of Christ across the globe. At present we support two missionary units through prayer, love and partial financial assistance. We hope that missionary support will increase as the Lord blesses us with growth, more resources and even members who may feel a calling to full-time missionary work locally or abroad.
Martin and Eva work for Wycliffe Bible Translators and are based in England.
Lenka is linked to Operation Mobilization and currently work as a Graphic Designer in their offices near Vienna.
Other Mission Organizations
Several of our members are involved in or work for other mission organizations with our love and support. The links below give more information about the work of these organizations.
• Wycliffe Bible Translators– making the Bible available in the heart language of people around the world.
• Operation Mobilization’s OM vision is to spread the Gospel in difficult places, mainly through short-term missionaries, many of them young people.
• TWR (formerly Trans World Radio), spreading the gospel around the world using the media to do so.
• Child Evangelism Fellowship reaches children with the Gospel of Christ. Find out more by visiting their website.
We believe and have seen how involvement in short-term mission trips not only help to grow the Kingdom of God, but also deepen our own relationship with the Lord. We look for and promote such short-term trips for our members, and are open to hear about any opportunities where our members could give of their time, talents and money.
It has become a tradition for us to annually travel for a weekend to help support the community of Cinobana, a village located in the center of Slovakia, along with the local Baptist church in Lucenec (nearby). Activities include painting, repairs, outreach, drama, crafts and donations.
Members have also joined short-termers from around the world in the annual “English Camps” offered by the Lucenec Baptist Church and other organizations during the summer months. By teaching English we are able to share the love of Christ with many young people from the area.
We are an active member of Christians in the City (Krestania v Meste – krestaniavmeste.sk) with an emphasis on cooperation between churches to serve and reach the city of Bratislava. Some of our members take part in serving in a “soup kitchen” for homeless people.
